One of Kilmartin House Museum’s strategic objectives is to:
"Develop and deliver learning for all so as to educate, enlighten
and inspire"
To meet this objective the Museum runs a large number of educational and
outreach events. A number of these are aimed at the general public. Others are targeted
at specific audiences, for example, the Schools Prehistory Days are
aimed at primary school children while mature students from Exeter
University and an adult literacy group have benefited from lifelong
learning activities.
The Museum has a very strong ethos of preserving the natural environment
and, among other offerings; there is a very strong focus on our
Permaculture course as we are one of only two institutions in Scotland
offering the full design course.
