Introduction to Scything

Learn the basics of scything for cropping and rush control, peening and use of sharpening stone.

Scythes will be available for use on the day and also for sale.

There are limited funded places available for under 25s, sponsored by the MacRobert Trust, please ask for availability before booking.

Funding for this and other crofting courses is being made available through the SRDP Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund, which is jointly funded by the Scottish Government and the European Union.  Other funders are; Highland & Islands Enterprise and Scottish National Heritage.
