| Description |
This cairn lies 150m away from Nether Largie North cairn. It measures about 30m in diameter and has several kerbstones. It contains two cists, one of which is visible near the edge of the cairn. This has a massive triangular capstone, and a cupmark and axehead decorate one of the interior slabs. Another slab with cupmarks lies nearby. A constituent part of the extended monument of the linear cemetery. This picture shows the denuded state of this cairn, which until the 1920s was 3m high. The circular outer boundary is a modern fence while the inner circle is the remains of a stone kerb. |

| Excavation Details |
Excavations here in 1929 revealed two empty cists. One cist's end-slabs had a cup-mark and axe carving. The side slabs of the other cist were grooved to receive the end slabs. A further slab bore 5 cup-marks. A platform of stones, some kerb stones and the axe-marked cist are still visible. No burial remains or grave goods were found. |
