Description

The cairn is situated on Barr a'Churin and a viewing seat was erected on it in the 19th c., probably constructed from cist slabs. The cairn measures 15m in diameter and a central cist is still partly visible although the cairn has been disturbed by a path to the seat.

Excavation Details

Excavated in the mid 19th c. by Mapleton and again in 1929 by Craw. The remains of two cists were supposedly discovered by Mapleton along with some burnt bone.
