Description

The site consists of two cairns about 250m apart. The first cairn is ruined measures about 16m in diameter and contains two cists both partly covered by large capstones. The second cairn measures 24m by 18m and has a capstone lying near the centre.


Excavation Details

The first cairn was excavated by Greenwell in 1864 and re-examined in 1929.

Finds:

One cist contained a Food Vessel and the other part of an inhumation burial, a Food Vessel and a flint knife.
