Description |
|
The
cairn is about 40m long and measures 15m across and 1.6m high at one end
which has a concave forecourt. It then tapers to less than half this
height and width at the opposite end. Only three of the stones forming
the facade remain in their original position and only the backslab
remains of the main chamber which lies behind it. About half-way back
along the the cairn is another lateral running, curving chamber of about
5m long. It is slab built and divided into three compartments. |

Excavation Details |
|
The
site was excavated in 1931. A set of boulders and slabs running along
the main axis of the cairn were found and these may be the possible
remains of a chamber and passage. A flint knofe was found near the
cairn. |
