This is
wide view showing the 7 medieval stones, located outside in a small open
enclosure within the graveyard. Beyond the graveyard it is possible to
see several of the prehistoric cairns that form part of the linear
cemetery of the Kilmartin Valley. |

Kilmartin
churchyard has the largest collection of Medieval slabs in the West
Highlands. Shown here are 2 effigies and two slabs depicting swords, all
products of the 14-15th century Loch Awe school. The word Poltalloch was
added in the 19th century to all but one of the 7 slabs in this
enclosure. |
