Description |
|
The
dun is situated on a small hill which is protected by steep slopes on
all sides except one side above marshy ground. It measures about 11.5m
in diameter. The best preserved part of the wall stands 1.8m high
(twelve courses) and appears to have been 2.5m thick on average (the
inner face is now hidden). The entrance has been damaged by the
construction of a 19th c. herdsman's bothy and another relatively recent
stone building lies on part of the wall. |
