Excavation Details |
|
The
site was excavated in 1864 by Greenwell. The floor of the largest cist
was formed of carefully laid small rounded pebbles but had been rifled
before. The second cist was still complete with four slabs and a cover.
Finds - the remains of three inhumation burials
and a fragmentary Beaker were found in the second cist. |
