Description |
|
Much of
this outcrop of carvings was only exposed in 1974 so the carvings are
relatively unweathered. It includes the usual hollows or cups surrounded
by rings but also a rosette motif - a large cup surrounded by smaller
cups. |
|
This
wide shot shows the lower slab looking NW towards Loch Craignish through
the modern conifer plantation. Before the trees were planted this site
would have had a commanding view. The area without the lichen is the
recently exposed area, which contains the least weathered of the
carvings. |
