Our schools programme offers active, creative and interdisciplinary learning for Early Years, Primary and Secondary schools.
Our cultural programme ranges from prehistory through to the Highland Clearances, and our natural history programme interprets the National Nature Reserves at Mòine Mhór and Taynish and Forestry Commission sites.
We provide interactive activities across a broad range of curriculum areas, to enable a greater understanding of Argyll’s place within the wider world, including artefact handling, costumes, traditional open fire cooking, simulated and real archaeological digs and traditional skills such as pottery. Outdoors we explore the natural history, including pond dipping, nature trails and transect, invertebrate and vegetation surveys.
We work with the class teacher beforehand to tailor the visit and activities to suit your class’s existing programme and to meet curriculum requirements.
If you are interested in the Education and Outreach team developing workshops and projects with your class, we would love to hear from you! Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01546 510278.
