As the Redevelopment Project progresses, we thought you might be interested in finding out who we have working alongside Museum staff to make our exciting vision a reality. First up we have Dr Aaron Watson:
Archaeologist Dr Aaron Watson has joined the Kilmartin Museum Redevelopment Project as a Curatorial Advisor. Aaron is a specialist in the Neolithic and Bronze Age, and has written widely about the experience of prehistoric monuments and landscapes. He has excavated rock art sites in the Kilmartin area and is a co-author of An Animate Landscape: Rock Art and the Prehistory of Kilmartin. In addition to his research, Aaron is an illustrator, photographer and film maker who has collaborated with Kilmartin Museum for many years. In support of our Heritage Lottery Fund Round 2 application, Aaron is developing themes and interpretations to communicate the Museum’s Collection and the wider archaeology of Argyll.
