August saw a lot of preparation go into preparing for our HLF Mid Term Review Meeting on 5th September, and documents were sent to our HLF Case Officer and Mentor. An updated draft of the Business Plan was produced for funders, and huge progress was made with the exhibition design schematic. Several workshops were held with various Museum staff members, consultants, Trustees, Exhibition Designers and architects to continue content development and make sure all the work produced is on track and fitting together.
Museum Trustees approved the RIBA Stage 2 Architects’ Plans, and so the design team were able to start working on the Stage 3 drafts. Discussion were held with the local Kirk Sessions around car parking in the Glebe Field, and this will continue to progress over the next few weeks.
Fundraising has continued with a pledge for £5,000 really helping things along! Plans have been put into action for a fundraising dinner at Loch Melfort Hotel in November and a Pre-Loved Fashion Show at the beginning of December, so watch this space to find out how these are progressing.
Museum staff attended the Mid Argyll Show and the Argyllshire Gathering this month, chatting to visitors from far and wide about the Museum and the Redevelopment Project. A new text donation service was launched, which you can find out more about here. The Fundraising Brochure was updated and sent to the printers, and we expect to receive these in September.
As always we’d love to hear from you, so if you have any thoughts about the Project, or you would like to find out more about the Museum please don’t hesitate to contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org.
