Redevelopment Update for September

Awareness raising

If you’ve been to the Museum lately you might have seen our standing stone in the Museum porch.  It shows where we are with our funding target at the moment, so please feel free to share a photo of it on social media to help us raise awareness!  We are currently at 73% of our target, so please help us spread the word if at all possible!

Fundraising

We are delighted to announce that The Robertson Trust have awarded £90,000 for the construction costs of the Education Space in the Redeveloped Museum! This is very exciting news and we are very grateful for such a generous award.

We have also been invited to submit a Round 2 application to the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund, which we are working hard on completing for their deadline.

The EA Timson Family Trust made another donation, we very much appreciate their continual support.

Several applications were submitted this month including an application to The Barrack Trust, The Gannochy Trust and our round 2 application to the Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation.

We have had several very generous donations from private individuals this month for which we are extremely grateful!  Donations of any size are very much appreciated!  Our Private Individuals target stands at £85,133, so any help would make a big difference.

We are holding a fundraising Curry and Quiz evening on the 10th of November. There will be an exciting prize and lots of delicious Indian style food to all tastes.  Come along and eat, drink, answer questions, win prizes and help our Redevelopment Project.  Tickets will be available soon, so please keep an eye on our Facebook Page.

Design Team

The design team worked hard last month to prepare the documents for the planning application submission for the car park and it was submitted in the first week of September.
