** The café is now OPEN some days of the week from 11am-3pm (please check our social media for which days) for takeaway with some seating outside. We have the same great cake, coffee and light lunches as before. You’re able to buy copies of ‘In the Footsteps of Kings’, our guide to the amazing archaeology of Kilmartin Glen. We’re working on the basis of card payments to keep our staff and customers safe.**
Since 1997, Kilmartin Museum Café has built a solid reputation as being the place to eat locally sourced and delicious food in the heart of Kilmartin Glen.
You can sit in our cosy Stone Barn or Green Oak Conservatory with views over the monuments of Kilmartin Glen.
Our entire menu is freshly prepared and, in addition, we have a daily specials blackboard. You can choose from soup, main meals and tasty snacks. A selection of vegetarian and vegan options is always available.
Our team loves to bake, so delicious home baked cakes are a speciality. Regular features on our cake display include gluten free Chocolate Brownies, dairy free Lemon Drizzle and Orange Polenta cake.
Our ever changing delicious light scones include popular flavours such as Cheese, White Chocolate and Cranberry, and Wholemeal. They are served with homemade jam and are the talk of the Glen.
We make our coffee with love and care using freshly Ground Caffia Fair-trade Rainforest Alliance organic coffee beans. We also offer a range of teas by TLC, the ethical tea company based in St Andrews.
An area of Kilmartin Museum Cafe can be hired for birthday or family parties – contact us to find out more.
