Kilmartin Museum is in the village of Kilmartin, in the Heart of Argyll. It is about 2 hour’s drive from Glasgow and under an hour from Oban and Inveraray.
Kilmartin is centrally placed for onward exploration of the Crinan Canal, Moine Mhor and Taynish National Nature Reserves, Inveraray Castle and Jail, Oban, Auchindrain Township and the gardens of Crarae and Arduaine.
By Car: Kilmartin Museum is situated on the A816 8 miles North of Lochgilphead and 29 miles South of Oban. There is a free carpark on site and several free car parks allowing access to the main monument sites around Kilmartin Glen. Access to the monument sites in Kilmartin Glen is free.
