Bringing the Past to Life: A Sensory Exploration of Monuments
Thursday 24th July- 1pm-3pm
A loop walk starting at Lady Glassary Wood Car Park. Booking essential.
The modern world can be overwhelming and extremely busy. It can be hard to set aside the time to exist in the moment. Join Kilmartin Museum’s Education Team for a special tour of prehistoric monuments, focusing on the sensory experience of spending time in this ancient ritual landscape.
The walk will allow you to explore and experience the standing stones, cairns and stone circles not just by looking, but also through textures and sounds. The tour will help to create a space for participants to enjoy the unique heritage and natural beauty of Kilmartin Glen.
The walk is suitable for anyone over the age of 16.
The walk is flat but is on uneven ground. It will be over grass and stones, which may be slippery when wet, so sturdy footwear and waterproofs are strongly recommended.
